"This is not a sports themed gimmick haircut place. This is not the ‘cheapest cut in town’ spot either. This is a modern take on the type of place our fathers’ fathers went to in order to escape the world for a little bit behind a hot shave and a good joke.
The downtown location is a wonderful callback to the full service barbers of yesteryear, and the professional staff there truly know their craft. On top of that the shop just feels like a place you want to sit and relax, and they have the drinks to help you do just that. Hospitality at its finest.
In particular, Cameron Capps has been my go to for a great quality cut and beard trim. I never have to worry about a mistake that destroys my beard or a bad haircut because he approaches every request with care and precision. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
If you’re looking for a great haircut at a place that takes their craft and their hospitality very seriously, this is the place for you. Ditch the striped shirts and head downtown, practice your best joke on the way. You won’t regret it."

"By far, the best haircut experience I’ve had in town. I always book my appointments with Cameron Capps. He always provides a great haircut, but takes it a step further with friendliness and great conversation. Getting a haircut used to feel like a chore, but now I look forward to having a free beer and chatting with Cameron every time I go."

"I've gone to many barber shops before I came across Champions. Their haircuts are - by far - the best haircuts I've received. If anyone goes to the downtown location, I highly recommend asking for Tommy Milligan. He's a cool dude and he knows what he's doing."

"I travel all over the US for work and came across this barber shop and it’s been nothing but great. Feel nothing less of a champion when leaving . Place has an incredible vibe, all of the barbers are also nice and welcoming . Booking is super easy and convenient . Highly recommend Hector , guy is phenomenal with the clippers and straight razor !"

"This is a long overdue review for Mr. Robert Young (though all of the staff are top notch). I have been going to Champion's Downtown on Austin Ave for nearly a year. I have consistently received the best skin fades, straight razor shaves, and recently beard trims. Prior to Champion's I would go to places like Sports Clips, Pro Cuts and the like and always left with decent hair cuts but there was always something missing. They didn't have that Barbershop skill. Mr. Young from the first haircut nearly a year ago to as recent as last week has always gone above and beyond. He is meticulous, extremely skilled, personable, and does not finish until you are satisfied with his craft. I say craft because when you sit in his seat you don't have to worry if you're going to leave and say, "Oh yeah I love this cut." but leave wishing you had done something different or gone to someone else. You're leaving with a premium service at a fair price and confident you'll be getting compliments and questions by colleagues of where you got your hair cut. I've only witnessed one unhappy customer at Champion's and that was a young man who did not know what he wanted and gave conflicting information to his barber and personally I feel he would not have been satisfied anywhere. I love the atmosphere and the Barbers and will continue to go to Mr. Young and Champion's as a whole."
